According to a new report from the CoBank Knowledge Exchange, another four or five quarter-point interest rate cuts are expected through the end of next year. That would put the baseline interest rate around three percent at the end of 2026. That scenario is expected to provide relief for the ag sector. Fertilizer prices remain the biggest headwind for farmers. High crop input costs will also impact profitability.
