The Linn & Associates brokerage firm has released its private crop estimate. Corn production is estimated at 16.6 billion bushels with an average yield of 184.7 bushels per acre. That’s down from USDA’s last estimate of 16.7 billion bushels and an average yield of 188.8 bushels per acre. Linn & Associates is forecasting soybean production at 4.1 billion bushels with an average yield of 52.1 bushels per acre. That compares to USDA’s latest estimate of 4.29 billion bushels and an average yield of 53.6 bushels per acre.
