Part of the North Dakota Beef Commission’s mission is to build and diversify export markets for beef. In support of that mission, NDBC Vice Chair Bryan Amundson recently took part in a trade trip to South Korea. “South Korea is an extremely strong market for us in U.S. beef. Right now, current dollar values and everything else, we’re bringing back around $98 per animal for our export sales to Korea.” South Korean demand for U,S. beef is so high that availability has become an issue. “They want more of our product. You know, quite honestly, we just don’t have the availability there.”
