Pioneer Field Agronomist Kristie Sundeen says white mold is showing up in both soybean and canola fields. “We’ve got white mold that’s been setting in pretty hard in some soybean fields, even stuff that has pretty good white mold tolerance,” Sundeen explains. “Even in the canola, there are some guys that didn’t spray, but the white mold is definitely set in in some of those fields too.” Frost has added another layer of concern, with the extent of crop damage varying across the region. “It was definitely sporadic. I would just say for most guys, you’ve got to look at every field and we aren’t really going to know what the total damage is until the combines start rolling.”
