Conditions have been good this year for both soybean crop development and the development of white mold. As a result, NDSU Extension Soybean Pathology Specialist Wade Webster is observing signs of white mold throughout the state. “We’ve had perfect environmental conditions for disease onset, lots of moisture, cooler nighttime temps throughout the entire summer,” said Wagner. “Unfortunately, we are starting to see the repercussions of that. Even up in Minot, we had entire fields that were melting away from white mold.”
