According to a new report from Farm Bureau Market Intel, phosphates have had the biggest increase this year. At the Gulf, DAP prices went from $583 per ton in January to nearly $800 in August. That’s a 36 percent increase in less than eight months. MAP has been on a similar trend. The report said urea prices rose sharply this summer, but have seen a modest decline. Potash prices are up more than 20 percent from a year ago. Farm Bureau analysts blame trade uncertainty and natural gas price trends for the uptick.
