Farmers National Company’s Kyle Nelson uses one year to describe the land market, confidence. “Despite the challenging economic conditions in agriculture, we’re not going to see the bottom fall out this year and we’ll see better times in the future.” Nelson was part of farmland value forums Tuesday and Wednesday at the Big Iron Farm Show. Cash rental rates were also part of those discussions. “Just like land values, we’re seeing pretty steady numbers. Even if the economics might not support some of those numbers, we’re seeing the confidence that things will turn around in the next year or two and they just don’t want to lose that ground.” Watch the videos online.
