HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was part of a contentious hearing on Capitol Hill Thursday. Most of the focus was on Kennedy’s vaccine strategy. However, Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley asked about his involvement in agricultural issues. Kennedy said his Department has met with over 140 farm interests in the past three months. “To make sure the MAHA (Make America Healthy Again) agenda is consistent with their agenda, that we are producing the best food in America, that we’re protecting our soils and our soil microbiome, and that we’re protecting all kinds of farmers, including those who want to transition to regenerative agriculture,” said Kennedy. “We’re consulting every stakeholder in the farm community in everything that we do.”
