Pioneer Field Agronomist Kevin Sinner brought the RRFN Crop Tour home on Friday, hosting the final day. The Comstock/Sabin area of Minnesota has seen its share of rain this year. “They’ve had some drown-outs, but it’s not quite as bad as it was last year and where they have the crop, it is going to be good crop with corn still north of 200 bushel per acre.” At Lake Park, there have been big rains that came all at once, but there aren’t the drown-outs that are seen to the west at Comstock. At Twin Valley, corn and soybeans received an adequate amount of moisture. “On our way here, we passed some canola that was just harvested and it sounds like they were close to that 3,000-pound level.” Sinner wraps up the day in this update.
