A Chinese trade delegation was able to get a first-person update on the North Dakota soybean crop this past week. North Dakota Soybean Council Treasurer Dallas Loff hosted the group at his farm at Wahpeton. “They asked good questions. A lot of it revolved around agronomy, harvest practices and growing practices and how the soybeans are doing this year here in North Dakota.” A dozen soybean industry leaders from China were part of the trade team. They represented major Chinese buyers, including Bunge, Cargill and COFCO. In addition to the Loff farm, the group visited a local grain elevator.
