The Big Iron Farm and Construction Show will be held September 9-11 in West Fargo. The Red River Farm Network is once again hosting forums in our building near the center of the grounds. Each morning at 10:30, RRFN will concentrate on hot topics in agriculture. That includes an update on the weather outlook and the impact on agriculture on Tuesday, September 9, featuring North Dakota State Climatologist Daryl Ritchison and South Dakota State Climatologist Laura Edwards. Noted economist John Newton will consider ‘Politics, Policy and Prices: What it Means for Farmers.’ Newton is with Terrain and previously served as chief economist for the U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee and the American Farm Bureau. The new Farm Service Agency Administrator, Bill Beam, is making his first trip to the region to discuss farm programs on Thursday, September 11. Daily market outlook forums feature industry-leading market analysts. AgCountry Farm Credit Services and Farmers National Company are also hosting forums in the RRFN Building.
