At Lankin, North Dakota, Dale Zahradka has just started his barley harvest. The spring wheat should be ready to go once the barley is wrapped up. The row crops are in great shape. “Farmers don’t like to talk about top-ends, but I think it’s one of the nicest soybean and corn crops we’ve ever grown on our farm here at this point.” The soybeans will likely need more time to reach maturity. Yet, if you look at “the numbers and the quality of the crop and the moisture underneath, it looks extremely promising.” Zahradka offered a final thought: take your time and stay safe this harvest season.
