The details of the framework agreement between the U.S. and 27-nation European Union include a lower 15 percent tariff on EU products shipped to the United States. In return, the U.S. will receive preferential market access for U.S. dairy, soybean and pork products. European Commission trade chief Maros Sefcovic said the EU is fully behind this deal. “A trade war with sky high tariffs and political escalation helps no one.”
