South Dakota Farm Bureau Executive Director Krystal Smit says they’ve been hearing a lot of chatter about property taxes. “It’s never an easy fix and there’s a lot that goes in to property taxes, but we’re in our policy development time of year right now and that’s a big one.” A lot of discussions are centered around affordable healthcare for farmers, as well. “Individuals who might not be able to access affordable, quality healthcare, we are able to offer that to members of South Dakota Farm Bureau, and you don’t have to be a farmer or rancher to look at our plans.”
