With the wet conditions in the Jamestown area, Doug Reimers says getting out into the fields has been difficult. In addition, “we’re dealing with a ton of humidity and in the middle of small grain harvest, that’s really tough,” Reimers told RRFN. “We’re looking at a fantastic sense of bushels, but other quality issues are starting to emerge in barley.” Reimers says the crops that are ready to be harvested look great, but getting to them is the problem. “It’s just really hit and miss on when we get to combine right now.”
