Wolverton, Minnesota’s Jay Nord says rains have been a bit of a concern this harvest, but not enough to slow them down. “We did our April (seeded) wheat, now we’re waiting on the May wheat, but it’s pretty green yet. We just need it to quit raining all the time and bring the humidity down a little bit.” Nord is happy with the quality of the wheat he’s seeing. “We’re seeing test weights around 61 to 62 pounds and averaging around 14 percent for protein.”
