With the wheat harvest just getting underway, Neil Rockstad, who farms near Ada, Minnesota, says farmers are hoping for a stretch of dry weather to protect the quality of their crops. “Everybody’s hoping that the weather straightens out and stabilizes, so we don’t lose quality and put this wheat flat on the ground another time.” Soybeans, corn, and sugarbeets are also progressing well, with American Crystal Sugar’s first pre-pile date set for Tuesday.
