According to the latest USDA Flour Milling Products Report, U.S. flour mills ground 223 million bushels of wheat for flour during the second quarter. That volume was down two percent from the previous quarter and down one percent from the long-term average for the second quarter. North Dakota and Minnesota had the largest shifts in wheat ground for flour. North Dakota mills ground 16.4 million bushels in the second quarter, up 17 percent from the average. Minnesota mills ground just under 10 million bushels of wheat, down 22 percent from the average.
