Ethan Woods, who operates Woods Harvesting, is seeing a good winter wheat crop coming off the combine in north central Montana. “Decent yields in the 50s for bushels per acre, but we’ve had rain every other night, it seems like. I would say in the area, we’re probably 20 percent to 25 percent cut. Test weights are dropping. Protein’s hanging in at that 13 range.” Next up for Woods’ crew are trips to Langdon and Dickinson, North Dakota, for the spring wheat harvest.
