The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency paused its dramatic permit application fee increase to hear additional feedback. “That really points out the importance of letting your voice be heard,” said House Speaker Lisa Demuth. “That was something that was done in less than 24 hours without an opportunity for people to share their opinions and to see an agency backpedal which means they heard the people, but what I’d like to do as Speaker, though, is to make sure that people’s voices are heard before those decisions are made.”
