Huso Crop Consulting’s Mark Huso says the crops in the Lakota, North Dakota area have had to deal with a lot of rain recently, but are otherwise looking good. “Some guys received five inches in ten days, and that was a lot to absorb.” Huso says the canola and soybeans are looking particularly good. “Canola is shaping up well. Our early canola is starting to turn already, so there’ll be some desiccation into next week, I expect. Soybeans are really shaped up, but conditions are wet, so we have some fungicide going on more than normal.”
