Following a meeting with provincial leaders, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said the Canadian government will not accept a bad trade deal with the United States. Canada faces the threat of a 35 percent tariff after the August 1 deadline. Carney said the phone “is ringing off the hook” from other countries that want to do more business with Canada.
