Coca-Cola is introducing a new version of its namesake soda made with cane sugar, following public encouragement from President Donald Trump. The new product will not replace the traditional Coke that uses high-fructose corn syrup but will be an additional offering. CEO James Quincey said the company is confident in its supply of cane sugar and plans to expand if demand grows. Trump praised the move on Truth Social, calling it a “very good move.” Coca-Cola already sells sugar-sweetened options like Mexican Coke and Passover Coke. The announcement comes as the company adjusts its full-year earnings outlook upward, despite missing second-quarter revenue expectations.
