A group of independent cattle ranchers has filed a lawsuit against the State of North Dakota, Governor Kelly Armstrong, Attorney General Drew Wrigley and the North Dakota Beef Commission. The lawsuit seeks to find the Beef Commission Act unconstitutional. As another option, the plaintiffs are seeking a different way for commission members to be nominated.
