CHS plans to shut down its Superior grain terminal at the end of August. CHS blamed a shift in the way grain flows through its supply chain for the closure. The Duluth Port Authority released a statement, saying the CHS decision “is a disappointing blow to the Port of Duluth-Superior and the community as a whole.” The grain terminal has a capacity of 18 million bushels.
