During the Corteva Media Day, the company introduced its new Forcivo Fungicide. Corteva Crop Protection Marketing Lead Mike Eiberger said Forcivo features longer-lasting residual control. “The industry standard is typically 21 days: 30 days of control is critical, especially for diseases like tar spot,” said Eiberger. “You’ve got corn tasseling all the way to black layer; that’s 60 days when it is exposed to all of these diseases. That 30-day control is pretty impactful just to maximize what that client is spending on the fungicide and to maximize grain fill in that corn.” Forcivo has three modes of action, providing preventive, curative and systemic control. It also has the flexibility to be used on multiple crops, including corn, wheat, barley and soybeans. Pending regulatory approval, Forcivo will be available for the 2026 sales season.
