Mother Nature has been relatively kind to the spring wheat crop this year. WestBred Account Manager Joe Narlock is optimistic about the crop, but wants it protected. “Fungicide timing at that early flowering is definitely the best time to fight scab or Fusarium head blight,” said Narlock. “Even with the windows opening wider with higher-end treatments like Prosaro Pro, we still see that the optimum timeframe is that early flowering.” Farmers are urged to check fields on a daily or every other day basis “because it is very, very crucial to hit that timing right to get the maximum benefit.”
