CHS Ag Services Sales Agronomist Mackenzie Adams, who is based at Hillsboro, North Dakota, said the corn could use a break from weather stress. She describes the wheat as ‘fantastic.’ “I know there are a lot of guys that are pretty, pretty excited for what the wheat crop is going to be; as long as we have a nice rest of July, I can foresee the wheat harvest may start at the end of July if not earlier, depending on how fast this turns. There are a lot of tabletop wheat fields that look absolutely gorgeous.” Some farmers in the Hillsboro area have made their first Cercospora Leaf Spot spray, and others will be waiting until this upcoming week. Adams said dry edible beans are coming out of their ‘ugly phase,’ and looking better.
