Vietnamese companies have signed a memorandum of understanding with U.S. firms to purchase $2 billion in ag commodities. Fifty companies from Vietnam traveled to the U.S. with their ag minister for the trade trip. One of the agreements was for the purchase of $800 million of Iowa corn, wheat, dried distillers grains and soybean meal over the next three years. Like other countries, Vietnam faces a huge increase in reciprocal tariffs when the temporary pause ends next month. That could negatively impact these deals.
