Ag Groups Cite Concerns Over State Pesticide Label Decisions

A coalition of 365 farm groups has sent a letter to congressional leadership asking states to reiterate the federal government’s authority over pesticide labeling. The letter said some states are beginning to regulate pesticides in a way that contradicts scientific guidance from the EPA. The ag groups, including the American Soybean Association and National Corn Growers Association, claim the patchwork of state labels creates uncertainty for agriculture.
