Members of the Weed Science Society of America are worried about federal budget cuts and their potential impact on agricultural research. The group surveyed its members and identified concerns over funding instability and an interruption in research projects. Members reported that numerous projects related to weed science, invasive species and innovation have been canceled. Job cuts have also resulted in the loss of institutional memory. The WSSA shared their survey results with lawmakers.
