Hefty Seed agronomist Joe Hjeleman reports the farmers in the Arvilla, North Dakota area are busy. “Soybeans are rolling,” said Hjelman. “As you go west, as you drive around, too, you can see there aren’t many things up or even worked, but guys have been scratching. Plans are still changing as more guys are calling for sunflowers; dry beans are finally going in, some pre-emerge chemicals are going down.” The Hefty Seed Arvilla location was a stop on Tuesday for the Red River Farm Network Crop Watch broadcast. Arvilla is west of Grand Forks.
