The two-week outlook looks positive for spring planting. “It’s been, maybe, a little slower start than we were anticipating with for the lack of snow we had and the way we thought spring was going to start, but the next 14 days look like above-average temperatures,” said BASF Business Rep Scott Hammond, who is based in Devils Lake. “We’re hoping to get more crop in the ground in that Devils Lake Basin. It’s definitely one of the slower parts of the state right now, but it isn’t unusual for us to get going in May.”
