Opposition to Potential Reference Price Increase

A coalition of 11 activist groups is opposed to a potential increase in reference prices in the budget reconciliation bill. This alliance includes the Environmental Working Group, Friends of the Earth, Farm Aid and the National Taxpayers Union. In a letter to lawmakers, they claim an increase in reference prices would largely benefit large farms growing specific crops and would inflate the cost of farmland.
