Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, North Dakota Senator John Hoeven and Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman John Boozman met at the White House Thursday to discuss the budget reconciliation process and the possibility of additional farm program funding. During the meeting, the conversation included the potential use of Commodity Credit Corporation funds for farm assistance. In 2018, $28 billion in Market Facilitation Program assistance was provided to farmers in response to the trade war with China. CCC funds must be replenished if a similar relief program is considered this year.
