Yankton, SD Beef Plant Closes

The CIMPL beef processing plant in Yankton, South Dakota has shut its doors. This facility has been in operation for 76 years. The American Foods Group, based in Green Bay, has owned the plant since 2005. The company cited “the current unprecedented cattle cycle and long-term industry changes” as the reason for the closure.
