A 25 percent tariff is now in place on imports from Canada and Mexico and tariffs on Chinese goods rose 20 percent. NDFB President Daryl Lies released a statement, saying the tariffs are part of a larger effort to level the playing field for trade while strengthening the security of the nation. R-CALF CEO Bill Bullard welcomed the new tariffs and is hopeful the U.S. will take trade action against others, including Australia, New Zealand and South America.
