At a joint North Dakota House and Senate Agriculture Committee hearing, NDSU Vice President of Agriculture Greg Lardy presented the results of a study conducted on the economic contributions of agriculture to the state economy. “North Dakota agriculture contributes over $41 billion to the state’s economy. That includes $26 billion in direct economic impact and over $15 billion in secondary outputs and accounts for over 25 percent of the total output of the state’s economy.” The study also found that the ag industry is provides the state with over 100,000 jobs.
