After the delegate meeting, Minnesota Soybean Growers Association President Darin Johnson reviewed the policy priorities. “For us, it’s crop protection; water quality is always foremost in Minnesota.” At the national level, crop insurance is at the top of the list. “It feels like we may be potentially leaning in the right direction where we can actually get this farm bill to the finish line,” said Johnson. “This is all about the resolution process and the grassroots ability to bring them up, have a discussion about it and the association being able to vet that document and take it to St. Paul and Washington, D.C.”
