The Food and Drug Administration is proposing a change in food labeling to make it easier for consumers to make healthier choices. Under this proposal, a simple nutrition information box would be placed on the front of the food packaging. It would list saturated fat, sodium and added sugars with each being categorized as low, medium or high in the percent of daily nutritional value. Public comments will be taken on this proposal until May 16.
