USDA has awarded nearly $4.4 billion in clean energy investments to rural electric cooperatives. Rural Utilities Service Administrator Andy Berke made the announcement at Connexus Energy in Ramsey, Minnesota. Connexus is the state’s largest rural electric co-op and it will use $170 million in grant funds to procure renewable hydro, solar and wind energy.
