For Soy Transportation Coalition Executive Director Mike Steenhoek, reliability is the number one demand. “I would rather have a predictably good transportation system than a sporadically great transportation system. When you’re talking about industries like agriculture and many others that exist in our economy, we really count on that long-term forecast when it comes to our supply chain.” Steenhoek thinks improving cost and investment efficiencies should be a goal in 2025. “While we do argue for strategic investments in our infrastructure, we also need to find ways of addressing the issues from the cost side as well.”
