Farmers seem to lock in the purchase of corn and soybean traits early, but other seed decisions take longer. “It seems like everybody’s a little slow right now on making some of their decisions on wheat going forward into 2025,” explains Justin Berg, technical product manager, WestBred. “I expect some of these end-of-the-year decisions where we’ll see some more movement on wheat seed. There’s not a lot of urgency as we sit here today, but I encourage farmers to get in and talk with their suppliers.”
