The University of Minnesota released its crop variety trials this past week. Research Agronomist Dave Grafstrom says the canola trials turned out well. “We look at what canola varieties do well here in the Roseau County area. For this year, our trial average was 2,261 pounds with a range between 1,300 and 2,800 pounds.” A small plot trial that tested desiccant combinations was also done this year. Canola trial results can be found at mncanola.org.
