Margins are expected to remain a challenge heading into 2025. “Even though the expenses aren’t going to change a lot, if commodity prices don’t go up, it’s going to be a pretty tight year,” said Terry Longtin, area vice president, Farmers National Company. Land rents, for the most part, are holding their value. “From ’24 to ’25, we’re not seeing much of a change, and land values are holding strong.”
