The Ardent Mills flour mill in Mankato will shut down by mid-January. This facility has a milling capacity of less than 10,000 hundredweight per day. The facility was built in the late 1870s by Hubbard Milling. Cargill acquired the mill in 1989 and Ardent Mills took over when it was created in 2014.
