Moorhead Malt Production Plant to Close

Anheuser-Busch plans to close its malt production facility in Moorhead and will close its elevators in West Fargo and Sutton, South Dakota. Rahr Malting Company will take over the capacity of the Moorhead malt production. Beginning in 2025, barley grown in Minnesota and North Dakota will be redirected to Rahr’s Shakopee, Minnesota facility.
