The U.S. poultry industry is responsible for over 2 million jobs and nearly $664 billion in economic activity. The U.S. Poultry and Egg Association, National Chicken Council, National Turkey Federation and United Egg Producers updated its economic impact study. In the state breakdowns, the report said the poultry business has a $29.4 billion economic impact in Minnesota; a $4.4 billion impact in South Dakota and $2.2 billion impact in North Dakota.
