Trade Deficit Widens

The U.S. trade deficit increased to $108 billion in September. That’s up nearly 15 percent from a year ago and it is at the highest level since March of 2022. Imports were up as companies stockpiled products due to a threat of a dockworker strike on the East Coast and the Gulf.
