The Creighton University Rural Mainstreet Index took another dip in the past month. This is a survey of rural bank CEOs in a ten-state region. Roughly 61.5 percent of the bankers said the farm financial situation in their area deteriorated over the past six months. October loan volume remained strong while farmland values declined. More than 85 percent of the bankers surveyed said former President Donald Trump would most support the rural economy.
